To join a group, click on the icon next to your name on the top right corner of the screen and select "+ Add code" in the dropdown menu. A window will pop up where you will have to introduce the group code that your teacher has given you.

you haven't seen the notification for the assignment. When your teacher assigns you homework, you will receive notifications in the Magnet bot conversation in the message center, in the notifications carousel on the Dashboard and in the notifications carousel in the corresponding group. You can also check if have any new assignments in the "Assignments" tab of your group.
